VTee 1st Collection LEAN INTO THE REAL PV
Online Culture, Made Wearable
*VTee is a contemporary Japanese culture brand that transforms online culture into everyday fashion.** We translated its message of moving beyond the boundary between online and real life into a visual experience. For this project, we brought in Kazuma Kanai of YYG NT Lab as director. With his deep understanding of online culture, we set out to create visuals that feel both fresh and instantly relatable, while naturally bringing the sensibility of the online world into the work.
Seamless Transitions with Textural Overlays
To express the idea of crossing between the online and physical worlds, we placed particular emphasis on the transitions between scenes. While connecting each shot as seamlessly as possible, we layered in deliberately tactile overlay effects to add contrast and texture, creating a more stimulating visual experience.
Naturally Compositing AI-Generated Elements into Live Action
For this project, we collaborated with Online Editor / AI Creative Director Tomoya Sugino, using generative AI rather than traditional 3DCG to create and composite VFX elements. Props that physically existed on set were used as references for the AI, allowing us to generate matching objects and then make them float, move, and animate within the live-action footage. Rather than generating the entire image with AI, we used it selectively as one element within the composition. This allowed us to take advantage of AI’s capabilities while preserving our own creative identity and visual authorship.
