BROTHERS IN ARMS 豊臣兄弟! - Title Sequence
“What If We Made a Music Video for the Toyotomi Brothers in the Sengoku Period?”
We brought Hidenaga’s eventful life—and the landscapes of the Sengoku period he might have witnessed—to life through a visual mix of 2D, 3D, and live-action imagery. We began with a simple thought: *What if BUDDHA INC. traveled back in time to the Sengoku period and had the two brothers appear in a music video?* From there, we let our imagination lead the way in creating the piece.

Shōnen Manga-Inspired Visuals and Onomatopoeia
The drama as a whole embraces the theme of a “shōnen manga-style success story.” We reflected this visually by portraying the relationship between the brothers through a distinctly manga-inspired approach. Onomatopoeia also became part of the visual language. Working with the production’s historical consultants, we selected expressions that are documented to have actually existed during the period.

Collaging Fragments of Sets, Costumes, and Props
The costumes and props that shape the world of a historical drama carry an extraordinary sense of authenticity. We captured fragments of these elements through photography and 3D scanning, then sampled and reconstructed them as collages throughout the title sequence.

Landscapes Inspired by the Theme Music
Hideakira Kimura’s music evoked not only changing landscapes, but even shifts in weather—from clear skies to rain and snow. We translated those sensations into the overall visual structure of the sequence, allowing the imagery to evolve alongside the music.
